Today there are about 100.000 chiropractors practicing world-wide. In Germany there are only 82(!) of these specialists in neuro-musculo-skeletal health-care. Timo Kaschel received his Master of Science degree in Chiropractic after successful completion of a 5-year University course at the AECC in Bournemouth, England. Since that time (July 2001) Timo Kaschel is practicing in Germany.
Most patients visiting a Chiropractor complain of back pain. Chiropractic is one of the safest and most effective treatments for this problem. But Chiropractic can do a lot more for your health.
The official definition of Chiropractic which can be found on the website www.wfc.org, encompasses much more than the treatment of back pain:
‚A health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the effects of these disorders on the functions of the nervous system and general health. There is an emphasis on manual treatments including spinal adjustment and other joint and soft-tissue manipulation.‘
This means that your Chiropractor will use mainly his hands (and brains) to help you get healthier. Drugs and surgery are not utilised by Chiropractors but will be recommended to you if necessary.
