Selten war ein Bandname für die aktuelle Situation passender als der von ‚Sick of it all‘. (Grob übersetzt: Das macht mich alles krank).

Auch für mich ist dies absolut keine Musik für jeden Tag. Aber heute Morgen, bei meiner kleinen Sportsession im Wohnzimmer, war mir sehr nach etwas härterem und schnellerem.

Besonders der Song Step Down vom Album ‚Scratch the Surface‘ aus dem Jahr 1994 bringt meinen Puls immer hoch. Ich weiß nicht warum, aber aggressive Musik begeistert mich. Besonders wenn diese Bands es schaffen ihre Energie für Jahrzehnte hochzuhalten. Das geht nicht, wenn man nichts zu sagen hat.

Natürlich ist auch das physische Erlebnis eines solchen Konzertes, was ich mittlerweile doch sehr vermisse, dass enormen Spaß macht. 1994 aus dieses Album rauskam habe ich gerade Abitur gemacht und war zu diversen Konzerten und Festivals in Braunschweig, Hamburg und natürlich bei Rock am Ring.

Also viele gute Erinnerungen für mich.
